One of the antenna dishes at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) is hosting a family of Nankeen Kestrels, with two young juveniles. The Nankeen Kestrel is a slender falcon and is a relatively small bird of prey. Also known as the Australian kestrel, Mosquito Hawk, Windhover, and Hoverer, the bird is native to Australia and New Guinea. The name Nankeen Kestrel refers to the colour of nankeen cloth, originally a yellowish cotton from Nankeen or Nanking (modern Nanjing), China. (Image credit: @CanberraDSN)
