Our ATNF annual report for the 2024-25 financial year has been published.
Endorsed by the Australia Telescope Steering Committee, the report offers a snapshot of our work across facility operations, scientific research, engineering, data management and community engagement.
Telescope usage data spans the April to September 2024 and October 2024 to March 2025 observing semesters. Publication data are from the calendar year 2024.
Some key statistics, captured in the report, are:
- We received 301 observing proposals for ATCA, Murriyang, LBA and CDSCC antennas in the year
- Of these, 226 were unique projects, with 75 projects submitting a proposal in both semesters.
- CSIRO people led 42 proposals (30 projects)
- 86 proposals (62 projects) were led by staff of other Australian institutions
- 173 proposals (134 projects) by overseas researchers.
From all of us at the ATNF, thank you for being a part of our facility and producing incredible work that makes an impact around the world.
