Applications for observing time are now invited for the 2012 OCTS semester for the following telescopes:
* Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA)
* Parkes radio telescope
* Tidbinbilla 70-m and 34-m antennas
* Long Baseline Array (VLBI) observations
All applications must be submitted using the online proposal application system, OPAL. The OPAL Users Guide has recently been updated, in particular the advice on writing good scientific justifications, and proposers are strongly encouraged to review those sections.

Advice to the community on the Future of ATNF Operations was provided in December 2011. A number of changes are planned for ATNF Operations over the coming year and these will have an impact on the facilities provided for the 2012 OCT semester.
