It was an unusually wet and chilly day for our special guests at
CSIRO’s Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory on Wednesday. Here’s the
group at the Murchison Widefield Array (a low frequency telescope
operated by Curtin University). Left to right: Kevin Ferguson (CSIRO)
Tom Booler (ICRAR/Curtin), CSIRO Chairman David Thodey, Australia’s Chief
Scientist Alan Finkel, Director of the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre
Mark Stickells, Melanie Johnston-Hollitt (ICRAR/Curtin), Tanya Bowes (CSIRO),
Antony Schinckel (CSIRO) and Astronomer-at-Large Fred Watson.
