The Australia Telescope Steering Committee (ATSC) provides advice to the ATNF Director on the scientific and technical operations of the ATNF. Committee members are appointed by the CSIRO Board. The Committee assists the Board to fulfil its governance responsibilities through the provision high level advice on the ongoing delivery of radio astronomy capabilities. The ATSC includes four Australian astronomers, three overseas experts, two representatives from the broader community, with additionally two ex-officio members. The ATSC met earlier this month in Perth, and sepnt a day visiting Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory.
