New ATNF Science staff member Jonghwan Rhee

Jonghwan Rhee recently joined CSIRO Space and Astronomy at Kensington as a Research Scientist to support ASKAP spectral line surveys. He received his PhD in Astronomy from the Australian National University (ANU), where he studied the cosmic evolution of neutral atomic hydrogen gas (HI) content in galaxies. Prior to joining CSIRO, he has worked for an HI intensity mapping project with Murriyang and the ASKAP survey science teams, DINGO and WALLABY, at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), University of Western Australia (UWA). He currently acts as the DINGO project scientist and WALLABY deputy project scientist. His expertise is in radio astronomy, with a focus on HI surveys and data processing/analysis.
