With the start of ASKAP early-science
observations approaching, the WALLABY team
today launches its new, official
logo that will help to increase the survey's visibility within the astronomy
community as well as the general public. The logo features a stylised ASKAP
antenna pointing at the Southern Cross which represents the southern sky that
WALLABY will be mapping. The golden chequerboard pattern in the background
gives credit to ASKAP's ground-breaking
Phased Array Feed
(PAF) technology without which the entire WALLABY project would not have
been possible.
