| As the Sun sets and the moon rises, “the Dish”
as it is affectionately known, glows blue in the early autumn chill that is
slowly descending over Parkes. This small rural community is home to one of the finest scientific instruments in the world, the Parkes Radio Telescope. An integral part of the community it displays how important that community is by lighting this beacon, that can be seen across the open plains of the surrounding country side, in blue to raise awareness of Autistic Awareness Month. |
