|CSIRO's WLAN team in 2012|
|In 1992, researchers from CSIRO's then
Radiophysics Division developed a technological breakthrough in advanced
WLAN (wireless local area network), the precursor to modern Wi-Fi. -
radio astronomy to wireless communication provides some background
on the Wi-Fi technology. See also The story of Wi-Fi by ABC Science. |
