Insights into the Voyager 2 Mission – Progress and Outcomes
by Suzy Dodd (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory)
Abstract: The Voyager 1 & 2 missions launched in 1977 have opened up a new understanding of the planets in our Solar System. After 42 years of extraordinary discoveries both spacecraft have now passed through the solar heliopause, most recently with Voyager 2. This grand tour of the Solar System has been assisted by both the Deep Space Network at CDSCC and Parkes. Data from this historic mission continues to provide us with unique insights about our deep space neighbourhood.
