The CASS 2018/19 Undergraduate vacation Scholarship program concluded
on 8 February following a successful Student Symposium the previous
day. Each scholar presented a talk about their research project then
answered questions about their work. The symposium was organised and
chaired by the students with talks given from Kensington, Tidbinbilla
and Marsfield. The standard was excellent and The program included a
successful observing trip to the Compact Array at Narrabri led by Dr
Jane Kaczmarek in which each group tackled an observing project. Our
students enjoyed their time at CASS with the program being a well
regarded introduction to a research environment. We hope to see some
of them back at CASS in future years as co-supervised post-graduate
students!
