The SKA calendar for 2020 celebrates the SKA family of pathfinder telescopes.
August focuses on e-MERLIN,
the enhanced Multi Element Remotely Linked Interferometer Network.
e-MERLIN consists of an array of seven radio telescopes,
including the 76 metre diameter Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank,
which spans 200km across the UK.
With an angular resolution comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope
and carrying out cm-wavelength radio astronomy with micro-jansky
sensitivities, e-MERLIN provides a unique facility to address
a broad range of scientific questions.
