Suk Yee Yong joined CASS last month.
Suk Yee completed her PhD on the Nature of Quasar Disk-Winds at
the University of Melbourne earlier this year.
She has taken up a post-doc postion in the
CSIRO Machine Learning/Artificial
Intelligence (ML/AI) Future Science Platform to find rare and unknown
objects (including SETI?) in astronomical data sets using ML and AI.
She is excited to explore the capabilities and applications of ML and AI
to deal with big data in the next generation telescopes.
The image above shows Suk Yee on a visit to an older astronomical
facility, Stonehenge!
