The Annual CSIRO Awards were held earlier this month, and CASS Deputy Director Sarah Pearce
was awarded the Chief Executive Team CSIRO Award. The image above shows Sarah receiving
the award from CSIRO Chief Executive Larry Marshall.
But that's not all!
It was recently announced that
CSIRO's Chief Scientist, Cathy Foley, would take up the role of Australia's Chief Scientist in the new year.
While recruitment for the new CSIRO Chief Scientist proceeds, Sarah has been asked to
act in the role from January. She will lead CSIRO's Science Impact and Policy team and
take over key projects from Cathy, including CSIRO's Future Science and Technology.
