An aerial view of AAVS
The Aperture Array Verification System (AAVS), located at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, is the testbed for the SKA consortium to evaluate equipment and confirm the performance of antennas before the rollout of the full SKA-Low. A previous ADAP has shown the array elements pictured from the side: this view of the antennas from above is quite literally an aerial view! (Image credit: ICRAR/Curtin University)
