Perth AstroFest 2021
The Astronomy WA Astrofest is one of the biggest astronomy events in Australia and has been held (almost) every year since the International Year of Astronomy in 2009. The CSIRO stall this year featured a livestream of a specially lit ATCA dish, and visitors were able to drive the array and make observations of pulsars. Staff were on hand at the stalls to answer questions from attendees. Visitors also enjoyed a range of talks on the night, including learning about radio exoplanets from Laura Driessen, the AusSRC from Director Karen Lee-Waddell, and the space research happening in Western Australia from a panel that included Nick Carter.
