The David Malin astrophotography awards
are run by the Central West Astronomical Society of NSW.
The 2021 winners have recently been announced
with the image above,
"Between a rock and outer space" by Marley Butler,
taking out the prizes for Nightscapes Winner and Overall Winner.
A selection of the best astrophotographs received will be
exhibited for the entire year at the CSIRO Parkes Observatory's Visitors Centre
and a second set will tour the country in a travelling exhibition,
organised by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences,
to selected venues beginning with Sydney Observatory.
