The ASKAP Update
for November describes preparations for 2022, Pilot Survey Phase II progress, plans for
observatory operations over the holiday period, and a bug founnd in the ASKAP processing pipeline.
The image above shows a commparison of two different continuum processing strategies,
using ASKAPsoft's default parameters on the left, and a set that conducts additional
self-calibration loops and deeper cleaner, designed for fields containing bright sources,
on the right. Identical linear intensity scaling was used for all panels.
