CSIRO has participated in the
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
since 2019.
The overall theme of this year's Mardi Gras was "United We Shine"
and, with costumes paying homage to the Power Rangers,
the CSIRO team's theme was Power To Shine.
CSIRO Chief Executive Larry Marshall noted,
"We know it’s our diversity that drives our innovation.
So building an inclusive culture where differences are
celebrated is essential to our success. Mardi Gras is a
terrific example of how we do this, together with the
other ways we support our LGBTIQ+ colleagues."
