The ATNF Science program with CSIRO Space and Astronomy held a
retreat this week in Hobart. Representatives from other
research programs within Space and Astronomy were also invited,
and the location was chosen to facilitate interactions with
colleagues from both CSIRO National Collections and Marine Infrastructure,
and the University of Tasmania. Approximately 60 people attended
in person, with another 20 or so participating remotely.
Breakout sessions included discussions of future priorities,
our National Facility support model, commonalities with NCMI,
and sessions introducing
our new Early Career Researchers, with a panel discussion on
ECR Career Building.
NCMI kindly arranged tours of their labs and workshops to
provide a better appreciation of how another of CSIRO's
National Facilities operated.
