Season's Greetings
Season's Greetings to all ADAP readers! Each year CSIRO describes and names up to 200 insects that are new to science. The Sapphire Azure butterfly has bright iridescent blue upperwings and a splash of colour on its underwings. This interesting insect is a species of newly-described butterfly endemic to Queensland, and the caterpillars of this butterfly feed on mistletoe, providing a nice connection to the festive season!
