Aperture Array Verification System 3
A previous ADAP has summmarised the progression of SKA Aperture Array Verification Systems deployed at Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory in Western Australia. Antennas for the latest prototype station, Aperture Array Verification System 3.0 (AAVS 3.0), arrived in Australia earlier this year. The primary objective of AAVS 3.0 is to ensure continuity for the product development teams and to reduce risk for the delivery of the construction phase. AAVS 3.0 will be built alongside the Curtin University-led Murchison Widefield Array, and will be the first instrument owned, operated and maintained by SKAO staff in Australia.
