The decision in the early 1990s to build a
20cm multi-beam receiver for the
Parkes 64m telescope, Murriyang,
came with the requirement to replace the original aerial cabin with
a larger focus cabin.
In December 1995 the old
cabin was carefully removed and the new one installed.
As the new focus cabin, and the receivers that were installed in it,
were significantly heavier than the originals, there
change was accompanied by additions to the counterweight on the
back side (on the other side of the elevation axis) of the Dish.
