In 1998, ATNF established a high-prestige post-doctoral fellowship known as the Bolton Fellowship. John Bolton FRS was a member of the CSIRO Division of Radiophysics from 1947 to 1981 and a pioneer of radio astronomy. Bolton Fellowships are tenable for 3 years, and are research positions with ample opportunity to make innovative contributions to the development of the astronomy in the spirit of John Bolton. Bolton fellows are free to work at any of the Australia Telescope facilities.
