Bird’s eye view of the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) in a hybrid configuration (H214 for the experts). The picture was taken on 27 Dec 2008 during a fly-over with Maxim Voronkov by passengers Mark Thompson and Angharad Weights. – Special permission has been obtained to fly into the restricted air space around the observatory, which is in place to reduce the level of radio-frequency interference (RFI). Restricting RFI as much as possible is crucial for most observations we do.
