The CSIRO Space & Astronomy Undergraduate Vacation Scholarship Program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to work on real-world problems in a leading research organisation. Each scholar undertakes a research project under the supervision of a CASS staff member. Scholarships are for 10 weeks from late November to early February, with students this time based at the Sydney, Perth, Parkes, and Tidbinbilla sites. A highlight of the program is the opportunity for the students to travel to the Australia Telescope Compact Array and carry out their own observing program, with the opportunity to have a tour from top to bottom of an ATCA antenna!
