The annual Louise Webster Prize is awarded by the Astronomical Society of Australia in recognition of outstanding research by a scientist early in their post-doctoral career. This year the prize has been awarded to CSIRO’s Andrew Zic for the paper “The Parkes Pulsar Timing Array third data release” . This data release contained observations of 32 pulsars obtained using Murriyang, the 64-m Parkes radio telescope. The data span is up to 18 yr with a typical cadence of 3 weeks. These data are part of international efforts to search for weak ripples in the fabric of space-time caused by gravitational waves.
