Wear it Purple Day, held on the last Friday in August, is a celebration of the message that everybody has the right to be proud of who they are. Wear it Purple was launched in Australia in 2010 and strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for LGBTIQA+ people everywhere. The theme for this year — “Your Passion, Your Pride” — highlighted the schools, community organisations, universities, and workplaces that are coming together to create a more inclusive future for all Australians.
