Last week was JohnFest — Structure and Polarisation in the Interstellar Medium — a conference in honour of John Dickey. Around 25 attendees were welcomed to ATNF in Sydney, including John himself, with 30 participating at Stanford University, and a further 15 or so online. The meeting was fully hybrid, and pretty much every meeting room was booked out to facilitate direct VC connections to Stanford for spontaneous collaboration and discussion — of which there was plenty! The meeting ended with heads full of ideas, and hearts full of gratitude to John, who has touched so many lives and careers.
