This week’s Annual Science Meeting of the Astronomical Society of Australia includes plenary and parallel sessions, poster sessions, and a number of ASA Chapter and Town Hall meetings. A regular feature of recent ASA meetings has been an ATNF Town Hall meeting to provide updates to the Australian community on ATNF telescopes and provide a forum to discuss current and future plans. The image above shows Cath Trott, ATNF Chief Scientist, welcoming participants to the meeting. Updates on the BIGCAT upgrade for the ATCA, the CryoPAF for Murriyang, ASKAP Survey Science Projects and the Observatory-led LOTRUN survey, and plans for a low frequency LAMBDA array were given, before a Q&A session with attendees.
