New Space & Astronomy postdoc, Jaiden Cooke.

Jaiden Cook recently joined CSIRO Space and Astronomy as a CERC (CSIRO Early Research Career) fellow. Jaiden earned his PhD at Curtin University, working on advanced statistical methods for detecting the Epoch of Reionisation. He then completed his first post doc at Curtin, creating low frequency (150 MHz) all-sky maps with the m-mode transit interferometry technique. In this work he combined low frequency data from the MWA and EDA2 (SKA prototype station) to creating the first joint instrument all-sky m-mode map. His current research is focused on creating the first all-sky polarization maps with the m-mode transit interferometry technique. He is aiming to map the low frequency large-scale diffuse Galactic polarized structures. Additionally, he will be helping to commission the LAMBDA project, using his experience working with SKA prototype stations.
