PULSE@Parkes in Guangzhou

Students in Guangzhou, China, observing pulsars with the Parkes radio telescope assisted by CASS astronomer Dr Matthew Kerr. Three CASS staff visited Guangzhou last week to run several PULSE@Parkes observing sessions for Chinese students. Students from 10 schools took part in the sessions hosted by Guangzhou University and Guangzhou University Affiliated High School. Dr Matthew Kerr and Dr Shi Dai also gave science talks at Guangzhou University whilst Rob Hollow and Shi gave public talks at the Guangdong Science Center. - Thanks to Guangzhou University Center for Astrophysics, especially Dr Hongguang Wang for funding and hosting our tour.
