Congratulations to Vikram |
by George Hobbs (CASS) |
CSIRO's blog recently
presented an article about Dr Vikram Ravi. Vikram was a co-supervised student
at CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science (CASS) with Stuart Wyithe (Melbourne
University) and George Hobbs (CASS) as his supervisors. He worked on modelling
the expected gravitational wave emission from supermassive binary black holes
in our Universe. This work led him to being awarded two prestigious awards:
the Charlene Heisler Prize for most outstanding PhD thesis in astronomy and
the Stefano Braccini Thesis Prize. Good work Vikram! Picture Credit: CSIRO. |
