The CSIRO Space & Astronomy Vacation Scholarship Program provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to work on a research project under the supervision of a CSIRO Space & Astronomy staff member. In a series of talks today and tomorrow, the vacation students will present the results of their projects, describing the work they have undertaken and what they have learnt during their stay at CSIRO Space & Astronomy. In the past, the vacation students have had the opportunity to visit one of the ATNF Observatories, but unfortunately that was not possible this year. The image above was taken during the vacation students’ visit to Parkes in 2004. The talks today and tomorrow will undoubtedly reassure us that this year’s students have not been lying down on the job! (Image credit: CRAIA)
