The 2025 SKAO General Science Meeting, A new era in astrophysics: Preparing for early science with the SKAO, is underway in Görlitz, Germany, and on-line. The first two days of plenary sessions were held in the theatre in the town centre, shown above, replete with meeting signage! Görlitz will be the home of the new German Centre for Astrophysics (DZA), however as the centre is yet to be established, the parallel sessions have been held at a number of venues around the town. Parallel sessions have been held for each of the Science Working Groups, both to hear progress reports from SWG team members, and to discuss the details of the SKA scientific capability rollout with SKA operations staff.
