Murriyang, the Parkes radiotelescope, has featured in a video of spectacular basketball shots, the 2018 Cricket Australia launch of its junior development program, Cricket Blast, and a video by popular British YouTuber Tom Scott. We can belatedly add to this list with The Dish’s appearance in a 2013 music video by Ologism, a performance-based science-rock band that used music to make science more engaging for the public. The video for their song “SKA Man” combines footage from the Parkes Observatory with artists impressions of the SKA telescopes. And while Murriyang has not changed appreciably, the SKA telescope designs changed dramatically since the video was made!
