ASKAP Community Busy Week in Perth

In continuation of its pursuit towards facilitating the ASKAP survey science teams get their hands dirty with ASKAP data as well as familiarise with ASKAPsoft -- the in-house data reduction software package -- CSIRO is organising the 2nd ASKAP community busy week workshop at its Australian Resources Research Centre site in Kensington, Perth from the 26th to the 28th of April 2016.

The busy week comprises of a mix of information sessions, sharing of experiences with ASKAP data and their reduction, as well as hands-on sessions on data reduction in ASKAPsoft on the supercomputer Galaxy hosted at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. Members from various survey science teams (particularly WALLABY, DINGO, EMU and POSSUM) as well as members of the computation group are attending the workshop. The event is being organised by Lisa Harvey-Smith, Dave McConnell, George Heald and other CASS members. Matthew Whiting is coordinating the hands-on sessions.
