CDSCC antenna DSS-36 |
There were picturesque skies at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex last month as the 34m diameter Deep Space Station 36 antenna tracked the Peregrine Mission 1 in moments leading up to the end of mission. Due to a propellant leak, Peregrine 1 was unable to complete its lunar landing mission and reentered Earth's atmosphere on January 19 AEDT. (Image credit: @CanberraDSN) |
