2017 Astronomy from the Ground Up Teacher Workshop at Parkes Observatory

Registrations are now open for the 2017 "Astronomy from the Ground Up" teacher workshop. The workshop is at CSIRO's Parkes Observatory, 28 - 30 April.
Participants will learn about a broad range of current astronomy research including those using the Parkes radio telescope. They will learn about the breadth of resources and innovative ways of teaching astronomy and astrophysics in the classroom. Hands-on activities plus a session on how to run a viewing night provide useful tools. You'll have the opportunity to explore the iconic Parkes radio telescope, the Dish, and network with professional astronomers and astronomy educators.
