Public access to CSIRO visitor facilities

CSIRO is responding to the unfolding COVID-19 situation by closely reviewing and managing access to our public visitor centres.

Our primary concern is the safety of students, families, community and our staff, as well as protecting key scientific infrastructure and research capability across CSIRO.

- The CSIRO Parkes Observatory Visitors Centre building, public toilets and the Dish Café are all temporarily closed to the public from 27 March 2020 until further notice.

- The self-guided visitors centre, telescope viewing area and public toilets at the CSIRO Paul Wild Observatory are all temporarily closed to the public from 27 March 2020 until further notice.

- The public visitor facilities at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex are closed from 16 March 2020 until further notice.

- The CSIRO Discovery Centre, Canberra is closed to schools and the public from 17 March 2020 until further notice.

Access will be reviewed as the situation changes.
