Abstract

Recent developments have made real time connection to radio telescopes and on-line correlation an exciting reality for VLBI experiments. In an era of all-sky monitors, such as the gamma-ray Fermi space telescope, this is becoming increasingly more important, both for pre-arranged multi wavelength campaigns and for rapid response to transient events. I will present two cases of eVLBI multi-epoch experiments: (1) eEVN observations of the radio galaxy M87, simultaneous to very high energy observations, aimed at constraining the place and mechanisms responsible of high energy emission; (2) Global eVLBI observations (including Europe-Australia baselines) of the radio loud narrow-line Seyfert1 PMN J0948+0022, the first source of its kind to be detected at gamma-rays, taken as part of an intense multi-wavelength campaign searching for the physical parameters of the source.
