MAPPING GALAXY EVOLUTION WITH THE K20 SURVEY

I will present the final results of the K20 survey, a recently completed
(2003) VLT Large Program aimed at deriving the redshift distribution of
a complete sample of 550 field galaxies with Ks<20 distributed over two
independent fields covering a total area of 52 arcmin^2. Thanks to very
deep spectroscopy specifically designed for faint high-redshift red
galaxies, it was possible to reach an unprecedented spectroscopic redshift
completeness (~92%) and to cover what was previously called the
