LATEST COSMOLOGICAL CONSTRAINTS FROM THE LYMAN-ALPHA FOREST
Lam Hui
Fermilab/University of Chicago
I will describe cosmological constraints obtained
from analyses of the Lyman-alpha forest from
the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), as well
as from other datasets. This will have bearing
on the primordial power spectrum and the cosmological
constant. I will also discuss our current understanding
of the physics of the intergalactic medium, particularly
the role of feedback and its impact on the above
constraints. Finally I will discuss what WMAP and
temperature measurements from the forest tell us
about reionization history of the universe.
