THE SNAP STANDARD STAR PROGRAM
J. allyn Smith
Los Alamos National Laboratory

We present the plans to develop the standard star network to support the SuperNova/Acceleration Probe (SNAP) science. SNAP's primary science mission is the determination of the dark energy's equation of state parameters, w0 and w1. The discovery and photometric and spectroscopic follow up of ~2500 Type Ia SNe will use a unique set of wideband filters redshifted in $z$=0.2 increments into the range from 0.4-1.7 microns. The science requirements for the program require an accuracy in color determination of 2\% in the optical and 3\% in the near infrared. We will discuss the requirements of the program, in detail, and the plans being examined to meet these requirements, including planned trade studies. The overall approach to establish the standard network will be detailed.
