WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM MAPS OF THE CMB
Lyman Page
Princeton University

We present an overview of what maps of the CMB tell us. We also discuss their relevance to studies of the primordial fields that seeded the formation of all the structure in the universe and we show what can be learned by comparing maps of the CMB to maps of galaxies. The future of CMB studies is bright. The upcoming generation of maps should bring into sharper focus the physics of the infant universe, the properties of the dark energy, and the mass of the neutrino.
