LARGE-SCALE STRUCTURE FROM 2DFGRS
John A Peacock
University of Edinburgh
The 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey was the first to
observe more than 100,000 redshifts, making possible precise measurements of many aspects of galaxy clustering. The final database of more than 230,000
redshifts is now ready for public release, and this
paper summarizes some of the key scientific results
that it has yielded. Particular emphasis is given
to the clustering as a function of galaxy type,
showing that a consistent determination of the
primordial matter power-spectrum shape can be made
even though different classes of galaxy can display
levels of bias that differ by a factor 2.
