IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There are only two weeks to go until the early registration deadline on
MAY 31. You can still register after this date, but at a more expensive
rate. However, contributing authors will have their abstracts removed from
the IAU-GA abstract book if not registered by May 31.
SYMPOSIUM SUMMARY
Surveys of galaxies and maps of the sky are fundamental in determining the
structure, geometry and evolution of the Universe. Recent advances have
allowed the probing of ever larger sections of the observable Universe in
many wavebands. This has been accompanied by powerful simulations of the
evolution of galaxies and large-scale structure. This symposium, which is
part of the IAU General Assembly XXV, will showcase results from recent
redshift and imaging surveys. Results from recent ground and space-based
CMB surveys, imaging surveys and redshift surveys will feature.
The fields to be covered are:
- Low redshift (z<0.5) galaxy surveys
- High redshift galaxy (including AGN) surveys
- Large-scale structure evolution
- Cosmic microwave background
- Galaxy evolution and structure formation
