speakers - action needed

Hi folks,

We need to act soon on trying to secure speakers, both overseas
and local. For the local people, I can send out an email announcement
with the dates, location, and website. If there's anything to
add/subtract from the website:

http://www.atnf.CSIRO.AU/people/twong/atca/wkshp.html

please let me know by Friday. I'll also try to set up an online
registration form this week. We can also extend special "targeted"
invitations next week to people we would like to contribute talks (my list
is below).

For the overseas people, I hope to get a clear indication of
funding availability this week, but in any case we should inquire about
whether they would consider coming. An updated list is given at the
bottom of this message. Based in part on discussions with Andrew, I would
suggest contacting them in this order:

1. David Neufeld (extragalactic; theory; molecular clouds)
2. Eugene Chiang (theory; young stellar objects)
3. David Frayer (high-redshift gas)
4. Jeremy Lim (evolved stars)
5. Tyler Bourke (molecular cloud structure)
6. Geoff Blake (astrochemistry)
----
7. Yi-nan Chin (molecular clouds in LMC)
8. Nagayoshi Ohashi (young stellar objects)
9. Eva Schinnerer (molecular gas in galaxies)
10. Geoff Bower (AGN, mm VLBI) - depending on whether mm VLBI will be
	feasible with ATCA (anybody know?)
----
11. Vincent Mannings (debris disks)
12. Kotaro Kohno (molecular gas in galaxies)
Basically, we can sound out the first 6 this week; if 4 or more decline
immediately, go on to #7-10, etc. How does that sound? Andrew, would you
like to draft the letter?
Finally, I should add that I've informally contacted Cornelia
Lang, visiting ATNF and RSAA from U. Mass at that time, about her interest
in attending; I've not guaranteed her a speaking slot, though I think it
would be appropriate to offer a slot if she expressed interest.
PLEASE let me know if there's anyone I've left off from the list
below that you feel strongly about inviting.
