Personal Interests
- Rugby union. I've been an on and off member of the Queensland Reds Super Rugby fan club for years. I've been a supporter for years so I'm ecstatic that they've finally managed to turn their fortunes around and win the 2011 Super Rugby Championship.
- Martial arts. I hold a first dan black belt in Moon Lee Tae Kwon Do. I'm hoping to start studying Hapkido sometime this year.
- Comic books. I've been collecting comic books for over a decade. I predominantly collect Marvel comics, but on occasion I do buy some independent and DC comics.
- Video games.
- Mathematics, engineering and computing. Even though it's not my area of research, I occasionally spend time studying mathematics and engineering textbooks, because I'm fascinated by the elegance of numbers and I like to know how things work. I also try to keep up with the latest advances in computing and have built my own computers since I was 10.
- Polish. My father is polish so I'm learning the polish language as a way to embrace half of my heritage.
