Since we were awarded funding under the Federal Government's Major National Research Facilities (MNRF) program in November last year, we have been going through a process of consultation with the community, and technical and financial assessment studies within the ATNF, to determine the optimum parameters of the upgrade. We have now decided to proceed with the upgrade along the following lines. We plan to review the details of this plan in the ATUC meeting in May 96, and then submit it to the government at the end of May.
Details will be added to the MNRF WWW pages (accessible from the ATNF home page on http://www.atnf.csiro.au) as they become available. Further developments such as 7 mm receivers will remain on the AT future developments list and will be considered at a later stage if funding and manpower become available.
